Frequently Asked Questions

What types of training do you offer at Hale Gym?

At Hale, we offer structured, coach-led group training programs:

  • Method – A progressive strength and conditioning program run in 12-week blocks, focusing on anaerobic, strength, power and aerobic sessions daily
  • Lean Lab – High-intensity barbell training focused on fat loss and lean muscle development
  • Pure Strength – Technique-driven strength training designed for muscle growth and performance

Each class is led by qualified coaches, with scalable programming to suit all fitness levels. Deload weeks and additional warmups, stretching and mobility are included for prevention of overtraining and injury.

What facilities are included in my membership?

All Method, Lean Lab and Pure Strength members have access to:

  • Group training classes (Method, Lean Lab, Pure Strength)
  • Full gym floor access and cardio equipment 5:30am-11pm
  • Recovery zone including saunas, cold therapy, steam room, plunge spa pool and other wet facilities
  • Shower, change rooms, and lockers

How do I book into classes?

Bookings are essential to attend a class.

Class bookings are managed via the Mywellness app. Once your membership is activated, you’ll be able to start booking. Bookings are open at least 10 days in advance.

We recommend booking early as spaces can fill quickly during peak times.

Can I try a class before signing up?

Yes! We offer a trial class for new or prospective members depending on availability. Get in touch, and we’ll help you arrange your first visit.

How many classes can I attend each week?

This depends on your membership package:

  • Unlimited – Attend as many classes as you like each week
  • 3-Class Method – Up to 3 Method sessions per week

Let us know your goals and availability, and we’ll help you choose the right package.

What is the cancellation policy for memberships?

We require 4 weeks’ written notice to cancel your membership.

You will continue to have full access during your notice period.

Can I pause my membership?

Yes. You’re entitled to one week of membership hold per 12-week Method block (free of charge) – up to four weeks for rollover members. Additional holds may be granted in special cases like travel or injury – just contact us in advance.

What should I bring to the gym?

  • A refillable water bottle
  • Your access fob for entry
  • Comfortable workout clothes

All training equipment is provided. Gym towels are also provided.

Do you offer personal training?

Yes, we have an expert team of personal trainers available for 1:1 sessions, whether you’re working on technique, performance, or rehab. PT sessions are available at an additional cost. Please reach out for more information.

What are your wet facility services?

Our recovery area includes traditional saunas, steam room, cold plunge options, spa plunge and boutique showers and changerooms.

For safety and hygiene, wet facilities may be unavailable during cleaning or maintenance periods.

Do you offer wellness or nutrition support or other benefits?

Yes! Method members are provided with a 12-week Nutrition Plan with Shopping Lists and Recipes at commencement. You also have discounted access, to our resident Dietician.

Members receive discounts for many of our services at our partner businesses: Hale Spa, Hale Aesthetics and Hale Recovery.

You are further entitled to other member benefits that can be found on our app upon commencement, these include great discounts to Gym Meals Direct, LSKD, Sol Cleanse and more.

What makes Hale different from other gyms?

Hale is not a “walk-in, do-your-own-thing” gym. We are a community-driven space with:

  • Structured, coach-led training programs
  • Individualised attention in a small group setting
  • A welcoming, supportive environment
  • Access to premium facilities to support your full fitness and recovery journey

We are here to help you train with purpose and progress.

How do I get in touch or make changes to my membership?

Just reach out to our team in person or email us at manager@halehealth.com.au. We’re always happy to help with booking support, membership adjustments, or general enquiries.

Where do I store my possessions during class?

Please make use of our secure lockers located throughout the facility. They’re easy to use and activate with a simple combination lock that you can set yourself. You’ll find lockers available both on the gym floor and in the changerooms.

We recommend just bringing your water bottle with you to class, and feel free to grab one of our towels on your way through!

What happens after the 12-week Method block ends?

If you’re on a 12-Week Upfront payment membership, you’ll be given the opportunity to continue into the next block once your current one ends. If you choose not to continue, your membership will automatically conclude after the 12 weeks, and you’ll need to return your access pass to avoid a replacement fee. We’ll always communicate upcoming timelines and next steps clearly so you can decide what works best for you.

For members on a weekly subscription, your membership will simply roll over into the next block unless you decide to cancel. To stop your membership, just provide four weeks’ written notice. It’s a simple and flexible system designed to fit your goals.

Is there parking on site?

Yes! We have parking available:

  • Behind the Brassey Hotel, via Belmore Gardens, our car park offers plenty of 2-hour spaces, perfect for class times
  • Directly in front of the gym
  • Off-street parking nearby

Parking is usually easy to find, we do recommend allowing additional time during peak hours.
